AMALGAMATED was established in 1994 and in the early years traded in the forklift industry
by servicing, repairing and rebuilding equipment.

Today the company has developed into a well-groomed organisation which offers Materials Handling
Solutions which surpass even the so-called giants of the industry.

During the formative years of Amalgamated it gained a well-earned reputation in the New Germany,
Pinetown and Durban area and as far afield as Mozambique for rebuilding 2 - 25 Ton Capacity
forklifts and earthmoving equipment.

Whilst the depth of the operation has been built on "forklift rental", the company is also the official,
sole distributor in the KwaZulu-Natal region, for the following:

CONSULTANCY - We offer a consultancy and forklift truck fleet evaluation

Together with our Finance House Bankers we can offer almost
any make of forklift to meet our customers' requirements.

NB 1 : We have an excellent relationship with MIPS, MAPUTO; recently supplying Two (2)
Full Container Handlers (Kalmar) plus Four (4) rental units (Two (2) Toyotas and
Two (2) Manitous)

NB 2 : We also have a Fleet Master Programme with CCW whereby we maintain their
130 machines spread nationally.



HIRE/RENTAL - Our Hire and Rental Programmes offer either a day to day, week
to week or month to month hire or even a medium to long-term
rental. This can be based on used or new equipment, depending
on the application.


USED EQUIPMENT - We offer a range of used machines.


REBUILD REQUIREMENTS - We specialise in rebuilding equipment.


PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - We offer spares availability on almost any forklift trucks.
Spares are available ex-overseas within three days should they
not be available off-the-shelf locally. Used parts are also available.

SERVICE BACKUP - Our Service Department offers:

  • Fully-equipped workshop facilities in New Germany.
  • Qualified Technicians with service vehicles.
  • 24 Hour service availability.
  • Internal or on-site service repairs.
